About our company
chenko learn
We teach people how to sew—simple as that. Whether you're brand new or diving deeper, our classes and patterns are made to build real skills and spark creativity. Learn how to make clothes that fit your body and your imagination.
chenko make
We help independent designers bring their ideas to life. From first sketch to final sample, we offer hands-on support through design, development, and production. If you’ve got a vision, we’ve got the pattern paper and the know-how.
chenko wear
Our clothes are made the same way we teach sewing—thoughtfully, one stitch at a time. Designed in-house and sewn in small batches, every piece celebrates the process just as much as the product.
Our Story
With over 10.5 million tonnes of clothing making it into the landfill each year from North America alone, we take the responsibility of producing apparel very seriously.
We help local apparel brands design small batch orders and also provide the option to choose our zero waste method. Our small minimum order quantity (15 units) ensures these local brands are not pushed into creating more product than they need.
We’re also educating consumers about the apparel manufacturing process through learn-to-sew classes. We’re teaching them the skills to extend the life of their favourite clothing with mending workshops and also educating our students on the slow-fashion movement.
Our Team
What is a zero waste pattern?
Unusable Fabric scraps are almost always created with a regular sewing pattern. This is because the pattern pieces are only designed with the finished garment in mind.
