Key take-a-ways for those looking to break into the apparel industry:
The apparel industry in Vancouver is SMALL. Don’t burn bridges, as you never know who your hiring manager might know and call on to provide a character reference.
Don’t be afraid to provide support to your peers. That support will win you so much goodwill in the future and those relationships will open doors for you later.
Being uncomfortable, is a large part of being a business owner. You don’t have time to be scared, you only have time for action. Run with what is working for you!
When starting a brand in the apparel industry, success can be small. Celebrate the little wins that will lead to more success later.
